The Power of Using Your Intuition in Your Business

I recently got a hit that I should run a visibility challenge for spiritual entrepreneurs, since so many of my clients were nervous to share, hung up by perfectionism, or waiting to start.

My intuition was nudging me that “now was the time,” even though I was re-working my website, launching a course for my mentor and had guests coming to visit. Something clicked, and so I had to say yes.

I knew the challenge had to be tuned in to the astrology of the moment, so I could teach people how I watch the stars and share based on that. Visibility can be a pure reflection of our intuition aligned with cosmic forces. This is exactly how I share, and it could help others to tune into their intuition and empower our actions with elegant timing, even during a period of eclipses!

As I launched the visibility challenge I also knew in my bones that it was time to share my course, Your Magnetic Blueprint, again. We have all been through an intense astrological season over the past two years, and there is an opening in this moment for us to truly step into our gifts and take our businesses to the next level. I had to follow this intuitive hit, and got to welcome 25 powerful women into the container as a result of saying yes.

Intuition also plays a big part for me on sales calls. No matter whether someone is ready "on paper" I trust my gut more about whether they are someone I should work with. Sometimes "on paper" they may not seem ready, but my gut plus a look at their chart reveals that in fact they are ready for a massive upleveling in their business.

When we get an intuitive hit in our life, it is incumbent upon us to follow up on it, to test it, to take an action that shows our inner wisdom that we are listening. It has been my experience that the more I listen to this soft voice inside me, the more powerful the transmission, and the bigger the leaps. We have so much wisdom inside of ourselves, we just need to learn to listen.

I believe that the work of listening to this voice is the reason I’ve been able to grow my business so rapidly – becoming a half million dollar business in two years.

Some tips for cultivating your intuition:

  • Spend regular time in silence, and ideally doing some kind of practice that connects you to something greater than yourself.

  • Notice thoughts that arise and any omens or serendipity that happen as this may give clues to what your intuition is asking.

  • Most importantly: show your intuition that you are listening. If you get a sense that you should reach out to someone, do it. If you feel a strong call to go somewhere, do it.

if what your intuition is asking you to do is big and maybe even scary, take a small step toward the big change.

This shows the universe that you are acknowledging the request it has of you, and you may find that in doing so a new door flings open, people come out of the woodwork to help, or something calls you further toward the transition. Just don’t ignore the call or eventually the flow could get blocked and things could stagnate.

Intuition is ruled by the moon, the planet of creativity, emotions, nurturance, changeability and feminine energy. Intuition is that quiet voice - not the jagged voice of anxiety but the still pulse of something wiser. We have to slow down to hear it, which is why moving slowly into your day and having some kind of practice that connects you to the wider cosmos can be helpful. Also working with the energy of the moon can be helpful – like getting to know the moon's cycle - is it waxing or waning? Full or new? Maybe starting to understand the tithis, or lunar days, or the nakshatras or lunar constellations, and their meanings. You could get a journal and start to keep track of these changes and note which constellations and tithis are supportive for you. The “Time-In” app on an iPhone is helpful because it tells you this info. Also you can go to see an astrologer to better understand whether your moon is activated in your chart, what is happening in your 8th and 4th houses, and even your 12th house, the places relating to intuition and unseen guidance. You can even perhaps do a remedy for the moon to strengthen your intuition.

Earlier this year I was feeling called to go to Baja, Mexico. It came out of nowhere - I didn’t know anyone who lived there, had never thought to go there, but suddenly there was a photo of Todos Santos in my Instagram feed and I was mesmerized. A few days later I got an email saying that Krishna Das would be leading a retreat there in two weeks and a few spots had opened up. I had to say yes! Through that incredible experience, I met a beautiful new friend and potential collaborator and also a new ideal client who I am having so much fun working with. I had no expectations that this would happen, but I listened to my intuition and took a leap.

How can you better honor your intuition in your work? I hope this blog has inspired you to live in more alignment with your intuition.
